Privacy Policy

This website is a static brochure site. It collects almost nothing, and this page says exactly what "almost" means.

What this covers

This notice covers the website at blukernel.com and any correspondence you have with BluKernel Labs. It does not cover our products. Each product we operate publishes its own privacy policy, because each collects different things for different reasons, and one document covering all of them would be vague about all of them.

It is published under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025; section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Reasonable Security Practices Rules, 2011; and Rule 3 of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Most of the DPDP Act's substantive duties commence on 13 May 2027, under the notifications of 13 November 2025 that brought the Act and its Rules into force in stages. Until then the 2011 Rules are the operative law. We have written to the later standard already. Where we describe a right, you have it because we are giving it to you, whether or not the section conferring it has commenced.

Who we are

BluKernel Labs is a registered sole proprietorship in India. It is not a company and not a limited liability partnership, so it has no CIN, and it is not registered for GST at present. Where that changes, the registration number will be published here.

Under the DPDP Act, BluKernel Labs is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. We do not pass that responsibility to anyone we work with.

What this website collects

Three things, and that is the whole list.

• Server access logsYour IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. Used to keep the site up and to spot abuse. Deleted after 12 months.
• What you send us by emailYour address and whatever you write. Used to answer you and to keep a record that we did.
• A request to Google FontsThe site loads its typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so your browser contacts Google and Google sees your IP address when it does. We are telling you because it is true. We intend to self-host the fonts so that it stops being true.

There are no cookies on this website. No analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no tracker, no session storage. Nothing is stored in your browser by us. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you are not being asked.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, no passwords, no sign-in of any kind.
• No payment details. Nothing is sold on this website.
• No location, precise or approximate.
• No advertising identifier. We run no advertising.
• No profile of you, and no data bought from anyone else about you.

We do not sell, rent, licence or trade personal data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone, for money or for anything else of value. We do not use anything you send us to train artificial intelligence models.

When you write to us

Email reaches a mailbox that a person reads. We use what you send to answer you, and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list to add you to.

Please do not send us anything confidential in a first email. If you need to, say so and we will arrange a better channel.

Our products keep their own policies

BluKernel Labs builds and operates its own software products. Each publishes its own privacy policy, terms and refund policy, which govern that product and are more specific than this page.

• GoodLuck — an Android app for kundli, panchang, rashifal and kundli milan, with paid consultations. Its policies are at getgoodluck.in/legal/privacy.html, /terms.html and /refunds.html.

Using this website does not create an account or a relationship with any of those products, and nothing you do here is passed to them.

Who we share it with

• HostingThe site is served as static files from Google Cloud Platform in Google's Indian regions. Google processes on our instructions under a written contract and does not use it for its own purposes.
• EmailGoogle Workspace carries mail to and from our addresses.
• Google FontsReceives your IP address when your browser fetches a typeface, as described above.
• Government agenciesWe disclose personal data where we receive a written order stating the purpose, and we insist on the written order first. We keep a record of every such request, and where we are permitted to tell you, we will.

That is the complete list. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no customer data platform, and no marketing tool in the path.

Where it is kept

In India, on Google Cloud Platform's Indian regions. Under section 16 of the DPDP Act, transfers out of India are permitted unless the Central Government restricts a country by notification; none has been restricted as at the date of this notice. Mail handled through Google Workspace may transit infrastructure outside India.

How long we keep it

• Server access logs12 months, then deleted.
• Email correspondence24 months from the last message in the thread.
• Grievance and complaint filesThree years from closure.

We do not keep anything "for as long as reasonable". Ask us to delete your correspondence and we will, within 30 days, unless a law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Write to hello@blukernel.com from the address you wrote from, and we will act within seven working days.

• Ask what we hold about you, what we do with it, and who we have shared it with.
• Ask for a copy.
• Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
• Ask us to erase it.
• Withdraw consent, where we relied on it.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to.
• Complain to us, and be answered.
• Complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we have not put it right.

We will not ask you to upload an identity document to answer a question about data you sent us yourself. Using any of these rights will not change how we treat you.

How we keep it safe

• Everything travels over TLS 1.2 or better.
• The site is static files. There is no database behind it and no user data in it to breach.
• Access to the hosting account requires multi-factor authentication.
• Mailboxes require multi-factor authentication.
• We keep a written information security policy, as Rule 8 of the 2011 Rules requires.

We are not going to tell you our security is unbreakable. No system is completely secure, we are a small operation, and the honest position is that we have taken these measures and keep taking more. If you find a security problem, write to hello@blukernel.com with "Security" in the subject line. We will reply within 24 hours and we will not threaten you.

If something goes wrong

If your personal data is exposed in a breach we will tell you without delay, in plain language, saying what happened, what it means for you, what we have done, what you can do, and who to ask about it. We will report it to the Data Protection Board of India without delay with a full account within 72 hours, and to CERT-In within six hours as their directions of 28 April 2022 require.

Grievance Officer

Appointed under Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and handling personal-data grievances under the DPDP Act as well.

Acknowledged within 24 hours. Resolved within seven days; if a matter genuinely needs longer we will say why before the seventh day and finish within 15 days. The legal outer limits are one month under the 2011 Rules and 90 days under Rule 14(3) of the DPDP Rules, 2025. We are not treating either as a target.

If we do not put it right

• For anything about your personal data: the Data Protection Board of India, after our grievance process.
• For a decision about content: a Grievance Appellate Committee at gac.gov.in, within 30 days of hearing from us.
• For a consumer complaint: the National Consumer Helpline on 1915, or consumerhelpline.gov.in, or a Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Changes to this notice

The version and effective date at the top change when the notice does. For any material change we give 30 days' notice on this page before it takes effect. We keep every earlier version and will send you any of them on request. This page will not move; if the site structure changes, the old address will redirect here.
